Fear had wandered his way into the art room during his break. He closed the door soundlessly behind him before walking over to a blank canvas on an easel. He lightly moved his fingers over the clean canvas, waiting for some colour. He noticed the case of acrylics paints was open and brushes rested next to it. He held a small smirk on his face as he opened the dusty curtains and let some light come in. The place was a mess and looked unused for quite some time, but he didn't care. He filled a cup with water and rolled up his coat sleeves. He had more cups with small abouts of paint in them, waiting for a brush. He started with a midnight blue and began to use soft strokes on the soon to be painting. He held a small smirk on his face as he painted.

It was an hour at least when he finished. It was as if he had taken a picture and attached it to the canvas. He wiped his forehead with his rolled up sleeve and blue paint was smeared on his facial scales. He smiled softly at the loving scene he painted. It was was a charming place blue lake that glittered from the full moon in the scene. Willow trees loomed over the calm site as two teenage boys were sitting by shore line. The one with sliver hair and small angel wings held a crimson haired boy with a long, crimson scaled tail. They looked as if they were at peace with the time they had with one another, young lovers never wanting to be apart. He held his hands on his hips as he smiled at his work, the sliver and shades of blue paint drying on his arms.

"Its been so long since I painted him, a little too long."

He chuckled at the end, not realising if someone was in there with him at the time.

Silas found himself skipping down a random corridor. For a moment, he panicked. The doctors, and behavioral specialists all told him that it was a sign of his zoning-out and committing murder or something equally... gross. He shook his head to clear his thoughts. No. It couldn't be... he had been medicated! Silly him. He never did anything to anyone before, so why would he not know now?

After a while, he came upon the art room. Peering inside, he saw a lone person working at an easel. He silently slipped inside, and just stood there, watching the man work the paints onto the canvas.

There. The man was finished. It was truly beautiful. Silas found his heart melting at the... amazingness of it. He quickly wiped the random tears away with his black sleeve then looked up. Panic flooded his mind for a moment when he noticed the man had seen him. "Uh... sorry!!" Silas quickly piped up, then began to shuffle towards the door. "I-I... Sorry to intrude!!"

He looked up, eyes averting to the one in the doorway. He smiled softly as he turned completely around and looked at the teen.

"No its alright, come in."

He lifted a hand and moved it in a waving motion. He cleaned his paintbrush in a sink before noticing how big of a mess he made of himself. He lifted his hand tounder his eye and wiped some of the paint off his facial scales. Anything that landed on his facial and body scales always felt weird to him. He placed his hands on his hips again as he stood before the painting once more.

Silas obeyed the man's command, and entered the room more. He sat on a random stool that looked like it had orange paint spilled over it at one point in time. Those silly psychopaths. Tehe.

"Uh... Sorry again! I was super bored and randomly came here... and... Potatoes, and... it's so pretty! Who is it of?" He said, quickly regaining his confidence as his mouth outran his mind. Quickly, Silas shut himself out, fiddling with a paintbrush he had picked up... not exactly remembering when he had done so. He shrugged it off. He never believed the cops when they said he did it, so why would not remembering picking up a paintbrush be a problem? Normal People forget stuff all the time... Like hot he got what looked like splatters of red paint on his pants.

he chuckled some at how hyper the boy seemed. He faced him as he removed his now ruined coat. He tail was seen clearly, but stayed wrapped around his waist.

"The painting is of me and my exboyfriend the night he snuck me out of the nest."

He could remember that night clearly. The sounds, smells, and the strange warmth of it still lingered on his scales and mind. He turned away for a moment, trying to pervent himself from tearing up. He cleaned the rest of his face and arms in the sink while he asked a question.

"So what would your name happen to be? My is Fear."

He walked back over to the teen, drying his hands with a towel. His face was at least clean now, his crimson scales glittering softly.

Silas found himself blinking. He had about a zillion questions swirling about his poor confused mind, and none of them were particularly un-awkward. Hmm, how could he go about this right? "What are you exactly?" The question stumbled out of Silas's mouth before he could stop them. Although the question had a tone of child-like curiosity. Nothing rude, or brash, even if the question alone seemed so.

"Oh!" Silas exclaimed to the whole name-question-thing. "That's such a cool name! Mine's boring, it's just Silas. It means something about of forest... Like trees!" He blinked. Had he really just said that? Hmm... "Ah, yes, I'm Silas."

Then something registered. "Ex-Boyfriend?" Silas found a frown tugging at his facial features. "Awwwwww I'm so sorry! What happened?" He realized he may have been prying. "Oops, if you don't want to say anything, I understand... I-I'm sorry for prying."

he laughed some at how many questions he asked. He desided to let his tail move away from around his waist and swayed behind him.

"Well first off I'm a elemental lizard demon of fire and metal."

He lifted each of his hands in the air. One had flames lace around it and the other turned to solid steel. He placed them in his pockets before speaking.

"He had died the next day protecting me and my family nest."

He was looking to the painting, eyes watering. His eyes flared as he almost touched the painting, but pulled back quickly. He walked over to Silas and lifted a hand to his cheek, a soft heat coming from his hand.

"Your name is lovely, not simple or strange, but that of a calming person."

He had a light smile on his face as he tried to lock eyes with him. His touch was light on the teen's cheek as he pulled away and stood stright once more.

Well, at least laughter wasn't usually the sound of someone getting offended. Silas relaxed. Elemental lizard demon of fire and metal... well, that was a mouthful. As Silas tried to wrap his mind around it, his eyes flicked to Fear's tail. "Uh... I'm... not human... that's all I know. They tell me I'm not human, yet they can't tell me exactly what I am..." Silas rambled, contemplating his human-like appearance. His eyes grew large at the metal and fire. Oh my Carlisle... that's awesome, he thought.

Silas looked at the painting, at the figure. He did look rather brave. "I'm... sorry," Silas said. He was never any good at comforting people. Even when his favorite teacher's only daughter died when Silas was in grade school, he couldn't find the words to tell her how sorry he felt for her. The word 'sorry' never seemed to cut it for him. All he remembered was getting very angry at her murderer, and then blacking out.
The police told him he killed the murderer.
But Silas never believed them.

Silas' eyes slid shut as Fear's hand touched his cheek. It was comforting and warm, and for a moment, Silas felt at peace. He felt warm. His eyes opened again and for a moment his eyes were caught in the depth of Fear's eyes. Then the moment passed as Fear took his hand away, but the feeling of warmth never left Silas' cheek.

he stood a small distance away from Silas, eyes to the floor. one of his hands threaded through his hair. small flames came from the strands that were let go at the end. he looked up once more, eyes apologetic.

"sorry about that, i get caught up in my own mind sometimes that i forget about who I'm with."

he seemed strangely nervous as his tail wrapped itself around his waist. it looked to be squeezing tightly, as if it would crush his waist at any moment. his hands tangled together, flickering between flames and steel.
